Laser for Ingrown Hairs
Who knew that laser hair removal was such a great treatment for ingrown hairs?
Well, we did! Laser hair removal is the perfect solution for folliculitis or pseudo-folliculitis barbae, also known as ingrown hair. This condition is not only irritating and painful, but it's also the reason we sometimes develop those unsightly red bumps on the surface of the skin — often after shaving.
For men, ingrown hairs often occur in their beard area and neck. The problem for women tends to be a little lower on the body — the most troublesome being that of the bikini area. But because laser hair removal targets hair at the follicle, it's getting to the root of the problem. Ingrown hairs don't stand a chance. After several laser hair removal sessions, you'll notice your hair shedding and the dark spots and bumps from folliculitis disappearing.
Ingrown hair treatment may consist of 4-6 treatments to deal with the ingrown hair and infections and 6 to 8 treatments to deal with the hair removal.
Remember using a sharp razer may increase ingrown hairs.
